Tuatahi provides transitional housing for whanau and individuals, for up to 12 weeks in our houses throughout the Wellington and Central region.

We receive referrals via the following:

  • The Ministry of Social Development (MSD)

  • Local community groups

  • By self-referral (contacting or visiting us in person), and

  • Other Non-government Organisations or Social Services Providers

Personal Upskilling

Whilst being in one of our community homes, each person is encouraged to engage in personal up-skilling. This is a critical part of their individual plans.

This may include:

  • Parenting classes

  • Budgeting

  • Counselling

  • Anger management

  • Numeracy and literacy

  • Computer classes,

  • Training
